LOCKPORT, Ill. – The UIS men’s golf team finished fifth at the Lewis Mixed Fall Classic which concluded Tuesday at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club. The Prairie Stars shot a team score of 625, one shot behind fourth place St. Joseph’s. Lewis won the tournament at 597. Individually, both Sean Bostrom (73-83) and Zach Phillips (79-77) finished tied for 16th at 156. Ryan McKillips (80-77) and Shane McCafferty (79-78) were tied for 18th one shot behind Bostrom and Phillips. Mark Klinger (79-84) shot 163 and was alone in 32nd. UIS also had Tyler Scherer playing as an individual. He finished with rounds of 82-77 for a two-round total of 159 and tied for 24th. This was the final fall tournament for the Prairie Stars.
