DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Playing as an individual, Shane McCafferty shot an opening round 75 and is tied for 13th after the opening round of the 21st annual Eagle Invitational on Saturday at Pelican Bay North. In the team standings, UIS is 18th at 335. Southeastern leads the team scores at 296. Zach Phillips shot an 81 and is tied for 60th while Sean Bostrom is tied for 80th with an 83. Mike McKillips fired an 84 and is tied for 89th while Mark Klinger shot 87 and is tied for 99th. Ryan McKillips is in 107th place after carding a 97. Along with McCafferty, the Prairie Stars have two other individuals with Zach Szuminski shooting 88 and is tied for 101st while Tyler Scherer is in 108th after shooting 104. The final two rounds of the tournament will be played tomorrow.
