Women's Golf 13th After First Round of Eagle Invitational

Abby Vorreyer is tied for 13th after Saturday
Abby Vorreyer is tied for 13th after Saturday's opening round.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The UIS women’s golf team is in 13th place after the opening round of the Eagle Invitational on Saturday at Pelican Bay North.

UIS as a team shot 371. The host Embry Riddle leads the team standings at 322.

The Prairie Stars were paced by freshman Abby Vorreyer who carded an 82 and is tied for 13th in the overall standings.

Tiffany Blumhorst and Katie Boyd each fired a 96 and are tied for 68th while Kelsey Blake shot 97 and is tied for 71st. Lillian Luker had a 100 and is alone in 74th.

The tournament concludes with the final round tomorrow.
