Men's Tennis Nipped by Nebraska-Kearney

Matt McGowan won twice for UIS on Saturday.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Nebraska-Kearney took the doubles point and  then squeezed out three singles victories to squeak past UIS, 5-4, in a non-conference men’s tennis dual on Saturday at the Velasco Tennis Center.

UIS posted its lone doubles victory at No. 2 behind Matt and Conner McGowan who beat Kyle Conzemius and Revel Yehezkia 8-6.

In singles play, the Prairie Stars got victories from Josh Patrick at No. 2, and both Conner (No. 3) and Matt McGowan (No. 4) but Kearney hung on for the victory.
