Women's Tennis Rolls at Hack Kellner Invitational

Thiyumi Abeysinghe was perfect on the weekend for UIS.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The UIS women’s team rolled through the competition at the annual Hack Kellner Invitational held over the weekend at the Velasco Tennis Center.

The Prairie Stars posted an impressive 16-2 record over the weekend.

In doubles action, Priyanka Deo and Thiyumi Abeysinghe combined to win both No. 1 doubles matches while Rosanna Ramilo and Jane Brown were unbeaten at No. 2 as were Brooke Tweedy and Claire Connor at No. 3.

In singles play, Abeysinghe was unbeaten (2-0) at No. 2 as were Brown at No. 4, Tweedy at No. 5 and Connor at No. 6.

Deo split her two matches at No. 1 as did Ramilo at No. 3.
