Women's Tennis Falls to UMSL

Thiyumi Abeysinghe won at No. 2 singles for UIS.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – UMSL took two of the three doubles matches and then came back to win four singles tilts and that proved to be the difference as the Tritons beat UIS, 6-3, in a Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s tennis dual on Saturday.

The Prairie Stars got singles victories from Thiyumi Abeysinghe at No.2 and Brook Tweedy at No. 5 and a doubles win from the duo of Claire Connor and Tweedy at No. 5.

UIS is now 1-3 in the GLVC while UMSL improved to 3-0.
