Softball Splits Season Finale

Brittany Morgan drove in six runs in UIS' victory on Wednesday.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Brittany Morgan and Aubrey Watson each homered to help UIS gain a split, losing the first game 3-2 and winning the second 9-1 in six innings at Missouri Baptist in the season finale for the Prairie Stars on Wednesday.

The Prairie Stars finished the season with a 14-32 record after winning just four games last season.

UIS gained the victory in the second game behind Morgan who was 3-for-4 with a home run and six RBI. Watson went 2-for-3 with a homer and tossed six innings allowing just one run and five hits with four strikeouts. Ashley Sanders scored three runs and stole two bases in the victory.

In game one, Morgan had a double and scored a run while Jessica Yocum and Emmarie Snyder each collected RBI. Snyder also stole a base.
