Women's Tennis Finishes with Victory

Rosanna Ramilo won at No. 2 singles for UIS on Wednesday.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – UIS won five of six singles matches and cruised to a 7-2 win over Illinois Wesleyan in a women’s tennis match on Wednesday a the Velasco Tennis Center.

The match was the season finale for the Prairie Stars.

UIS opened the day by winning two of the three doubles matches with Rosanna Ramilo and Jane Brown winning at No. 2 and Brook Tweedy and Claire Connor at No. 3.

In singles play, the Prairie Stars rolled to six victories. Thiyumi Abeysinghe (No. 2), Jane Brown (No. 3), Ramilo (No. 4), Tweedy (No. 5) and Connor (No .6) all won.
